FAQ: The Bubble Show

What sort of bubble tricks does the show come with?

The bubble artist’s main focus is bubble manipulation (blowing bubbles inside bubbles, changing the shape of bubbles), but also includes magic throughout the show (producing liquid and bubbles out of thin air; expanding sponges; and more).

Who is coming to my party?

We have several artists trained on this show, with the lead being Jessica. (You can scroll down to read more about her.) Due to its popularity, however, you may get a different performer for your bubble show. Just ask who’s available near you when booking

Can the bubble performer come in a costume?

Our bubble magicians come as one character: Dr. Bubbles, the world’s leading bubble scientist! (At this time, the plot of the show doesn’t make sense as other characters.)

Can the magician entertain both boys and girls?

Yes! Bubbles are for everyone 🙂

What do I need to set up?

The bubble performer needs to be either indoors or (if outdoors) under shade like a tent. She’ll need one long table for his show. For small audiences that’s all she needs, but for audiences of over 50 children, the client should plan to provide a microphone.

How much does the Bubble Show cost?

It depends on the event and package. When you ask our office for a quote, they’ll send you several options at different price points for your party.

What towns do you service?

Jessica (our main actress who plays Dr Bubbles) is based in CT, but we have bubble performers in NH and MA. We also service VT, RI, and ME with additional travel fees.

How To Book a Bubble Show Birthday Party in CT, MA, or RI

1. Plan for a lot of water.

Our bubble formula is 75% water, 25% dish soap, and trace amounts of baking soda and lubricant. On average, a bubble show uses about one gallon of bubble liquid–meaning that it gets everywhere.

To avoid mess, we highly suggest your bubble show be either outdoors or on a carpeted area where water can be absorbed without issue.

And to avoid accidents, we do not perform the bubble show on tile, wood, linoleum, or slick indoor floors.

2. Plan for weird weather.

And while we suggest outdoors spaces, the weather is weird! Plan a raindate OR a sheltered location in case of rain. Even a small amount of drizzle can pop bubbles, so prepare to be flexible.

(If you can’t be flexible, we understand that too! Another one of our kids entertainment shows may be a better fit for your birthday party.)

3. Define your space.

The bubble show will need 1 table (a folding table is perfect) plus an area about 10′ by 4′ to move in. Additionally, children will need some space to sit.

For larger events of over 30 kids, we suggest a stage and microphone. (We do not currently rent stages or AV equipment.)

4. Pick your add-ons.

Our bubble shows have optional photo booths and bubble play time, plus things like glitter tattoos. Just ask our office!

FAQ for Schools and Summer Camps

What do I need to provide for the bubble show?

I’ve been working with magicians for years at Kaleidoscope but never saw any representation of myself in that industry. I love our magicians, but it didn’t feel like me. Eventually, I was at an event with a friend in NYC and saw a bubble artist. I fell in love! I brought my idea to work the next day and we began working on our own bubble show birthday party tailored to kids in our area.

How many kids can you entertain?

Yes! I graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC in 2010 and have been doing theatre my whole life. At Kaleidoscope I actually started as a princess, but I’ve done stage production as well.

Can you entertain all ages, including toddlers and teens?

Since 2011! I first started in events as a wedding singer in different cover bands, although I’ve mostly put that to the side while I raise my kids and focus on my career as a children’s party entertainer.
