What’s the difference between ther Fairy Mermaid Magic Show and other kids’ magic shows you offer? The Fairy Mermaid show was created for a few reasons: (1) Kenny was in such high demand, he decided to take on some apprentice magicians. (2) Some clients specifically wanted women magicians, or magic shows that were less goofy and loud than kids comedy magic. So if you want a sweeter and cuter show, we suggest this one!
What sort of magic tricks does the Fairy Mermaid Magic Show come with? Because we wrote this show for younger audiences than the kids comedy show (which was our first), the focus is on bright colors. From multiplying magic wands to disappearing crayons, everything is colorful eye-candy.
Who is coming to my party? This show is performed by different actresses from Kaleidoscope. Kenny has trained Alexis, Dominique, Jess, and Olivia in the show, so while you’ll get the same show every time, your magician may be different (depending on our availability and your location). If you want to know exactly which actress will be at our show, you can ask our office who is available and closest to your event.
Can the magician come in a costume? Yes! We call i the “Fairy Mermaid Magic Show” because most clients like the ideas of fairies and mermaids, but our magicians can also come dressed as pirates, clowns, or in regular clothes.
Can the magician entertain both boys and girls? Absolutely! Sometimes people think that just because the magician is a woman she can only entertain girls (and vice versa), but our Fairy Mermaid Magic Show is captivating for all children.
What do I need to set up? The magician needs to be either indoors or (if outdoors) under shade like a tent. She’ll need one long table for his show. For small audiences that’s all she needs, but for audiences of over 50 children, the client should plan to provide a microphone.
How much does the Fairy Mermaid Magic Show cost? It depends on the event and package. When you ask our office for a quote, they’ll send you several options at different price points for your party.
What towns do you service? We have Fairy Mermaid Magic Show performers in MA, CT, RI, and NH. (In fact, the wide geography of the areas we service was one of the reasons we wanted to clone this show!) We’ll send a magician as close to your event as possible. We also have some availability in VT and ME for an additional travel fee.

This specific magic show was written and produced by our office to meet the high level of demand we’ve seen by people who wants a women magician for a birthday party. When we originally launched the show, it almost instantly sold out on weekends and we had to figure out how to deal with so much demand.
So, we decided to create one amazing show that could be duplicated several times on any given weekend in order to not turn anyone away. W now have 4 different professional actresses who have learned this show and perform the magic in the show.

An Interview with Alexis: Mermaid, Fairy, and Magician for a Birthday Party
How did you become a magician for a kids birthday?
A friend was working at Kaleidoscope in 2022 and posted a job opening as a temporary tattoo artist. It seemed fun so I tried it out, and I absolutely fell in love with the work! Within a year of working there I pitched myself as a magician for my acting abilities, and was trained by the master magicians there. I’m happy to say I’ve done over 100 events as a professional entertainer, and it’s now my full time job!
Who is your favorite magical character to play?
For the Fairy Mermaid Magic Show, I actually love going as Lexi the Clown! I know she’s not quite on brand for the “fairy mermaid” show, but she’s a quirky and funny character that’s still a great fit for the show when someone wants a female magician for their party.
What do you do outside of your work as a magician?
This is my full-time job, but my biggest hobbies outside of work are singing/song writing and acting in local theatre productions. I’m a creative person and I love flexing those skills at work and outside of it.
