The Extravaganza variety show is a goofy 60min show that combines some a mix of different entertainment styles.
The Extravaganza can be enjoyed by PreK-middle school.
We would describe the Extravaganza as a “one-man three-ring-circus” because it dives into so many different classic circus art types.
It’s the right magic show for your party if:
- You want something different than a magic show, but you still want magic
- You want an hour-long show (whereas most magic shows are about 30min)
- Your event has a circus or carnival theme

FAQ: The Extravaganza Variety Show with Kenny
What sort of magic tricks does the kids comedy magic show come with? The extravaganza comes with a totally different set of tricks than the kids comedy show, but has similar themes of clown-antics and classic magic. In addition, Kenny uses a hand puppet and juggling balls.
What do the juggling and puppet look like? Kenny’s juggling uses tennis balls; his puppet is a hand-puppet. These things are incorporated into the show to create a variety show, but this is not a “puppet show” or “juggling expo”.
Who is coming to my party? Kenny will always be at the Extravaganza! The Extravaganza was born in 2021 because of how many repeat clients he has. While the kids comedy show can be modified to entertain the same audience, Kenny’s clients were asking for new experiences that still involved magic and clowning, but were unique to his talents.
Can the magician come in a costume? Yes! Kenny’s Clown persona is by far the most popular for the Extravaganza (the show works really well for circus or carnival themed events) but when you ask for a quote our office will send you a list of current costumes and characters Kenny can play.
Can the magician entertain both boys and girls? Yes! The Extravaganza is for everyone.
What do I need to set up? Kenny needs to be either indoors or (if outdoors) under shade like a tent. He’ll need one long table for his show. For small audiences that’s all he needs, but for audiences of over 50 children, the client should plan to provide a microphone.
How much does the Extravaganza cost? It depends on the event and package. When you ask our office for a quote, they’ll send you several options at different price points for your party.
What towns do you service? We’re a New England-wide company. Kenny is based in CT but travels to MA, RI, VT, NH, and ME regularly because of the growing demand for his kids’ comedy magic shows!

Kids Party Entertainment Challenges (And How To Solve Them)
You may or may not be a professional event planner, but don’t worry! We have a few quick tips for setting up your kids party entertainment for success:
1. Make sure guests can see and hear the entertainer
If you’re throwing an outdoor event after dusk or plan to have a DJ/sound system, PLEASE do not put any of our magicians in the dark or drown them in music!
The best set up for a magic show is well lit (either by daylight or artificial lights) and away from any competing noise.
2. Make sure your entertainer isn’t baking in the sun
On the reverse, if your magician is going to be outdoors in the heat of the day, please be mindful that they are a human with a body! A shaded area is best, either under a tent/structure (perfect) or under thick tree cover (less ideal).
3. Set up your space correctly for the variety magic show
Kenny’s Extravaganza needs an area about 4′ x 10′ for him to use as a “stage”, plus area for kids to sit down.
For parties under 20 kids, a space for him on the floor (with the kids sitting on the floor) is perfect.
For events 20-50 kids, you may want to consider getting him a raised area and sound. However, if you can’t provide these things, that’s ok–he’s loud!
For events over 50+ kids, we highly suggest a stage and sound system. (We do not require these things however, as we understand that this may not be logistically possible for all events.)
An Interview with Kenny: The Most Booked Magician Clown in CT, MA, and RI
How long have you worked in kids party entertainment?
Since 2004! I started as a teen summer camp counselor doing entertainment just for camp events, and by the time I was in college I was starting to work professionally. A few years after graduating I decided to pursue it more professionally and got representation with Kaleidoscope in 2013.
What are your favorite parties to entertain at?
I love kids birthdays! I think a small group of kids is really fun since you get to know them a little and interact with them a lot more.
That said, I’m probably booked the most by summer camps now, which brings me back to my entertainment roots!
Do you have a philosophy as a performer?
Since my Extravaganza has a very clown-y vibe, I bring a tried and true clown philosophy to the jokes my shows: the joke is always on me, never anyone else!
My goal is to spread kindness and smiles everywhere, and when a clown makes fun of themselves (with love of course!) it means never making fun of anyone else. A jester “hits up”, a bully “hits down” but a clown slips on a banana peel and bonks themselves!
