Add Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Temporary Tattoos, and More to your Kids Party Magician Package!
We’re not just magicians, we’re professional fun makers!
Depending on the size of your event, our magicians and entertainers can come for a combo package (1 magician who does a 30min magic show plus some face painting and/or balloon twisting) or multiple artists who entertain in multiple art forms.
We would recommend adding face painting, balloon twisting, or other visual entertainment for your event if:
- you have a small event and want to keep kids entertained for several hours
- you’re having a large event and want a one-stop shop for all your entertainment
- you want a mix of one of our more sophisticated magicians (like James or Marissa) to entertain teens and adults but also want something specifically for younger kids (like face painting and balloon twisting).

FAQ: Face Painting & Balloon Twisting Add-Ons for Kids Party Magicians
What designs to the face painters and balloon twisters have?
Our designs range from popular characters (like princesses and heroes) to cool animals (from tigers to flamingos) and everything in between (from silly aliens to spooky monsters to beautiful butterflies).
Our artists may provide a menu of choices or may let guests pick from whatever they want, depending on the artist.
Who is coming to my event?
It depends! If you have a combo package with just 1 magician also doing an art form, it will be whichever magician you choose. If you hire multiple artists, we may not know who your artists are until closer to your event, but we’re happy to send you bios and portfolios of who is assigned to your event!
What ages are face painting and balloon twisting for? Can you entertain both boys and girls?
Face painting and balloon twisting are for everyone!
Truthfully, our designs are for kids and adults of all ages. Whether it’s a 50 year old dad who wants a KISS face painting or a toddler who wants a magic wand balloon, we’ll make it fun for everyone.
What do I need to set up for face painting and balloon twisting?
Face painters need 1 table and 2 chairs. Balloon twisters need 1 table and 1 chair.
The tables can be of basically any size, but do need to be standard height (like a dining room table or office desk).
Additionally, if they’re outside they need to be under shade or shelter (like a tent or gazebo).
How many faces or balloons can an artist do in an hour?
Our normal packages include about 10-12 designs per hour per artist. However, we have “speedy” designs and up to 10 artists available for your event, so depending on how big your party is we’ll send you several quotes.
How much does face painting and balloon twisting cost?
That depends on where and when your event is, plus how many guests you’re expecting. Get a quote from us and we’ll give you tons of options!

How To Book Face Painting and Balloon Twisting in CT, MA, RI, NH
If you want to add face painting and balloon twisting to your kids party magician package, then there are a few considerations:
- Our magic shows are typically 30min (sometimes more) depending on the show. The rest of the time will be for the arts package you want to add on.
- For small birthday parties, this is typically all done with the same artist, which saves you money and increase the value of your experience with the magician
- You’ll have to decide how the 30min (or 60min) show will fit into the order of events at your party (should it be early when some kids may not have arrived yet? Should it be at the end, when it could interfere with cake cutting?)
If you have any questions, ask our office at the time of booking.
Finally, your artist will also need a few things:
- All magicians, face painters, and balloon twisters will need to be in shade or climate-controlled environment when working. (Remember, they’re humans with bodies!)
- So the kids can hear the magic show (and the artists can hear the kids), our kids party magicians should be placed far away from the DJ or any loud music
- Face painters and balloon twisters will need a table to work on. Balloon twister will need 1 chair, and face painters will need 2. (If you have multiple artists at your event, they can share the table no problem!)

An Interview with Khara: Kids Party Magician, Face Painter, and Balloon Twister
How did you start your work as a kids party magician?
I did community theatre with Jessica who works in the Kaleidoscope office. She mentioned to a group of us that they were hiring for artists, and I love to craft, so I thought it would be a cool opportunity. I didn’t even know magic would be an option, but coming from a theatre background I was so excited to learn it once I had the chance!
What’s one memorable event you’ve done recently?
I did a Fairy Mermaid magic show recently where the birthday girl asked me to be her best friend. I almost cried!
What do you think your strengths as an entertainer are?
I love working with kids, my background is actually as a music teacher, so I think I get along with them better than most magicians. I’ve seen other magicians who are really focused on impressive magic, which is cool, but my focus is just on making kids happy. Magic is a great way to do that.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love to do community theatre and I’m usually in a few different shows a year. When I’m between shows I like to craft, hang out with my nieces and nephews, and try new restaurants. My professional creative life is pretty hectic, so I love a chill day off when I can find one!
