Invite a Santa Visit to Your CT, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT Event for a Meet-And-Greet and Magic Show!
Santa’s Magic Show is a 30min add-on show with our Santa performer James. James is typically scheduled for a Meet and Greet (where kids sit on his lap for photos), and typically clients add on the Santa Magic Show for an additional, unique experience.
Santa’s Magic Show can be enjoyed by the whole family.
We would describe Santas’s Magic Show as classic, old-timey magic that’s sweet and family-friendly.
It’s the right magic show for your party if:
- you’re having Santa come visit
- you’re looking for additional ways to entertain kids during your event so adults can enjoy themselves
- you want a classic, traditional Christmas party (think: red velvet, reindeer, cookies, and coziness!)
FAQ: The Santa Visit Magic Show with James
What sort of magic tricks does the kids comedy magic show come with? James is a classical magician with over 60 years of experience. (He got his first magic kit at the age of 5!) All of the tricks in his show are themed to Santa’s Christmas (reindeer, cookies, presents, all the fun stuff) and use classic magic props like boxes, sponge balls, rings, and cards.
Who is coming to my party? James and Kenny both play Santa, but James will be coming to your event if you book a magic show. (You can read more about him below in his FAQ.)
Does Santa do anything for children who don’t celebrate Christmas? We have different entertainment options for kids who celebrate Channukah, Lunar New Year, or noting at all. James’s Santa show is truly Christmas-centric, but ask our office about the variety of winter holiday options we have so no one feels excluded this holiday season.
How much does the Santa Magic Show cost? It depends on the event and package. When you ask our office for a quote, they’ll send you several options at different price points for your party.
What towns do you service? James is from NH, but travels throughout MA, ME, VT, RI and CT as he is New England’s only professionally trained magician who doubles as a Santa, and demand is high. If you’re in New England, he can get to you!
How To Book a Santa Visit and Magic Show in CT, MA, RI, NH
1. Decide on your Santa Visit Package
Our Santa Visit packages can be done as standard meet and greets (where kids go up to Santa, sit on his lap, and take a photo) but can also add time with Santa where he does a magic show, reads a story, or hosts a sing-along.
The highest cost in getting Santa James to you is his travel fee between events. Once he’s at your event, we’ve priced his Santa magic show (and other options) comparatively to maximize the value of your Santa visit and kids’ enjoyment.
2. Plan your Space
Santa will need a chair for him to sit on. If you opt to do the magic show, he will additionally need a table and space to perform.
Please alert us at the time of booking whether your party will be INDOORS OR OUTDOORS. Santa James can wear thermals and wool to keep him warm outdoors, but we need to know before he arrives at your event either way.
An Interview with Santa James
How did you get started as a magician?
I started when I was only 5 years old, over 60 years ago! I saw a magician at a local fire house and it changed my life. I began performing magic way back then and never stopped. After retiring I’ve been able to concentrate entirely on it.
When was your first Santa visit? How did you get started?
I started with Kaleidoscope in 2017 just as a magician. In 2019 they asked me to go out for my first Santa visit, and I loved it! I love making children smile, especially now that my own are adults, and Santa was a natural fit for my act.
What do you do outside of Santa visits and magician work?
I’m a published science fiction writer, a creative writing teacher, and I love to spend time visiting my adult daughters. I’m also retired from the US Navy and love learning about US history.
